10 Fictional Characters I'd Like to Check in With | Top Ten Tuesday

Share it Please

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme originating from The Broke and the Bookish. Every Tuesday they choose topics that we are supposed to create a list about, considering our personal reading preferences.

This Week:

Top Ten Characters You'd Like To Check In With

Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood

10. Luna Lovegood
from Harry Potter Series by Joanna K. Rowling
I absolutely adored Luna and wouldn't have minded a spin-off series just about her. Actually I wouldn't even have minded if the entire thing was just about Luna in the first place. She's such a wonderful inspiring character and so wonderfully unique. A role model.

9. Ashley Black
from Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Ok, that's a weird one. Ashley Black is the child of Dawson Black and Bethany Williams if anyone remembers. She's only a baby when the series ends but I'm really curious as to how this whole thing ends?? Can I have a spin-off????

8. Wanda
from the Host by Stephenie Meyer
What happened to the sequels?? Wasn't it supposed to be a trilogy? Instead all we got is a bad movie starring Sashuiaghsia Ronan, or whatever her name is. I refuse to include a picture of Emily Browning portraying my dearest Wanda, because it's so not what she looks like in the book and I am very upset. I want the sequel, the story can't just end there, I'm genuinely upset about this!

7. Hazel Grace Lancaster
from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
I'm going to ask the question that we've all been thinking: DID SHE DIE?! Didn't John Green say something like she died a year later? If so, I'm upset and I'm going to have a serious conversaion with Mr. Green. Let me know in the comments!

Paul Bettany as Dustfinger

6. Dustfinger
from Inkworld Series by Cornelia Funke
Oh Lord, do not talk to me about Dustfinger. I read the series when I was very young and I'm pretty sure he was my first official book boyfriend. I miss that lying bastard and I will never ever forget Cornelia Funke for killing him off.
(But yeah, I bet she loved that idiot as much as I did, if you've read Inkdeath y'all know what I'm talking about. I'm still upset though.) It's time for a reread I guess.

5. Andy
from Breathers: A Zombie's Lament by S.G. Browne
Ok, before you interrupt me: The ending is totally open to interpretation, alright!! Don't!! Even!! I want to know what happens, I want to have another hilarious novel told from his perspective and most of all I want my precious little angel child to be happy again. Yeah, he's a brain-eating zombie, but it's not like he wanted it, okay

4. Magnus
from Blood Coven Series by Mari Mancusi
Introducing my second book boyfriend. I read the first book when I was twelve I think and he took me by storm. Magnus is the most awkward vampire you'll ever meet and he's just adorable. I hear there's a lot of sequels to the original novel, but I've only read one so far. It's always weird to pick up old childhood favorites as a wannabe-adult. Maybe I'm going to continue the series and check in on my man.

3. Teddy Lupin
from Harry Potter Series by Joanne K. Rowling
I have no idea why I am obsessed with characters that had -28% screen time in the books. Teddy Lupin was basically non-existent + a baby, but he still managed to snog my heart. Need a spin-off about him, alright?

2. Rose Hathaway
from Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead
Shush, I know that we had a six-book-series AND a short story starring her but I can't get enough of her and her Russian lover. I want to know everything about their life, if they adopted baby vampire kids, what they have for breakfast - EVERYTHING
Kristen Stewart as Isabella Swan
You do not want to know the true extent of my obsession with her and this book series, you really don't.

1. Bella Swan
from the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer
Yeah, I'm going there, I really don't care. I freely admit to being a TwiHard in my teens and there's nothing wrong with that. Seriously this franchise hit me so hard when I was about fourteen, it's scary. That's actually how I got into fan fiction in the first place, because I didn't want Twilight to end.

Yes, Bella Swan is super boring, yada yada yada.
I still want to know every single detail of what happened to Edward, Renesmee, Carlisle, Esme and what their names all are.

What do you think of those characters?

Would you like to check in on any of these?

  1. Jessica @ a GREAT readApril 7, 2015 at 8:50 PM

Nice! I totally forgot about Ashley Black!! SO would love to see a spinoff series with her! That would be awesome! And Uncle Daemon can make an appearance every now and then! LOL!

Lovely Harry Potter pick too! I'm all for any HP member! Would love to check in on them all!

And while not a Twilight fan myself, I do like seeing people enjoy it and freely admitting it! It's hard to get people to admit it these days. Totally think that's because of the movies too and their opinions on that! But not going to broach the topic further!

    Great picks all around! :D

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

  2. Great
choices. Hazel and the Harry Potter characters are on my list, too.

  3. I completely forgot about Wanda from The Host! I think it's just because it's been so long since I read it.

    My TTT: http://myexpandingbookshelf.blogspot.com/2015/04/teaser-and-top-ten-tuesday.html

  4. I completely understand about wanting to know about Teddy Lupin more! We barely have anything about him, but I want to know everything. Remus is my all time favorite and so I feel like I need to check in on Teddy to make sure he's okay. It would be awesome to have a series dedicated to him. And I bet Luna went on some pretty crazy adventures when she was older, so that would be fun to see. Great list!

  5. I agree, Luna and Lupin are such fascinating characters that you just can't jelp but want to know more!

  6. Definitely, god, now I'm missing Daemon again. I really need to reread this series, it's so good, oh my god.

Yeah, no big deal, it was a big part of my life and I was young, what the hell. The movies are actually flawless adaptations of the books to be honest. I just don't like Robert Pattinson that much. :/

  7. ... and because you probably wanted to pretend the terrible movie doesn't exist, it was such a mess and I'm still upset 3 years later.

  8. YES! But... Sirius is my child. He's my favorite favorite favoooooorite characters of all time and I'm still in denial about his fate. Remus is a close second and I haven't forgiven JKR yet. I will never forgive, I will never forget.

  9. I thought it was weird to add Hazel because it's kinda obvious (at least more obvious than with the other picks) what happens to her. I guess I just like to get emotionally hurt my books. :/

  10. Grace @ Rebel Mommy BookBlogApril 9, 2015 at 4:54 PM

great list - I totally forgot Hazel myself and I totally wonder about Bella!

  11. I'm kinda sad that Meyer didn't decide to at least reveal what happens next in an interview. Given the success that the franchise had, a little sneak peak isn't too much to ask.

  12. There's a lot of choices that are obvious, but that just means the books touched so many other people than just yourself. It's always the characters that have the chance of dying that I worry about. It's a blessing and a curse. They're such great books!

  13. oh my god you worded this beautifully

  14. Awe :) and here I was wondering if it even made sense!

  15. I loved Harry Potter and Vampire Academy - Rose is one of my all-time favorite heroines<3 Have you read the Bloodlines series as well? I liked it as well, but VA is my most favorite - great picks overall! <3 Benish | Feminist Reflections

  16. YES! I can't get enough of Rose either. I've read up until Spirit Bound but decided not to read Last Sacrifice, because I didn't like where the plot was headed. Nah, I really dislike Sydney and I don't like that Mead decided to ship Adrian off to her next novel series. Sydney is so annoying in VA.

  17. Yay for the VA! I need to finish that series up but really enjoyed the ones I'd read of it :)

  18. It's so addicting, I was suffering whenever I had to wait for the next sequel to arrive in the mail haha

Comments make every blogger's day. Don't be afraid and say something, even if it's just a smiley face or a quick "Hey, I liked this" or "Hey, I didn't like this". Don't be shy! xx
